These Citizen 295-40 devices were originally not batteries at all, but miniature capacitors. More recently however, Citizen has upgraded their specification and replaced them with minute rechargeable batteries.

This is a genuine Citizen watch capacitor / battery for use in Citizen Ecodrive solar cell watches.

Consisting of a Panasonic MT 920 with special connector plates, this Citizen part 295-40 is a replacement capacitor for the following Citizen watch movement calibres:

These 295-40 MT920 with tag are almost exclusively used in Citizen electronic watches.

They are, however also compatible with two Miyota watch movements with a calibre of:

7W71, and
BR10
