The Small Battery Company is the London, UK based distributor and retailer of battery products, specialising in rare and obsolete batteries and supplying products across Europe and the world. Founded in 2001, the Small Battery Company was formed to identify, manufacture and market innovative solutions to the problems of discontinued battery products. By providing alternative batteries, the Small Battery Company will naturally contribute to reducing obsolescence and increasing the protection of the environment.

Value Added Taxes

The Small Battery Company is registered for Value Added Tax (VAT), registration number GB 820 7178 40. All our retail prices already include VAT at the current rate.

Battery Producer Registration

The Small Battery Company is registered as a battery producer with the Environment Agency. Our Batteries Producer Registration Number (BPRN) is BPRN00753.

Keeping Prices Low

How do we maintain low prices?

It is pretty simple. We do not have expensive high street locations with high rents. We do not have expensive poorly trained shop assistants. We have battery expert warehousemen and that is it. Our overheads and costs are massively lower than our High Street rivals and we pass that on to you, our customer.

How do we know our prices are competitive?

We check our competition. We look in the High Street and surf our competitors' web sites. Occasionally we find what looks like a low price, only to find you need to add 20% VAT or a £1.95 delivery charge.

We stock a large range of industrial nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries.

The Small Battery Company are approved distributors for a comprehensive range of high quality industrial nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. Available with solder tags and ideal for building into packs for industrial and hobby purposes.

Specialist Built-to-Order Batteries

Some batteries are just too specialist to regularly stock on our shelves. For these we offer a 'Built-to-Order' service.

Lead times vary, and we cannot guarantee how quickly they can be made available for shipping. We suggest you contact us to confirm that the lead time will be acceptable to you.
