LR48 or AG5 alkaline (Manganese Dioxide) cells are commonly used in cameras, calculators, toys and watches. The LR48 or AG5 cells are inexpensive and we only sell them in pairs. Why not buy two or more pairs of the LR48 or AG5 cellsa nd take advantage of our reduced price and make sure you are not left in the lurch next time your battery runs out.

Silver Oxide cells of the same dimensions can sometimes be substituted for these less expensive LR48s. If your application requires a longer lasting battery with more consistent performance, order this 393, SR48, SR754 or SR754W cell instead .

Mercury cells of the same dimension are no longer manufactured because of their toxicity and environmental unfriendliness. Although the electrical properties are slightly different, if your requirement is to replace an MR48, you have little option but to try an LR48 in its place, or to try the silver oxide 393, SR48, SR754 or SR754W cell.
