The PC640A or PX640A is a mercury-free replacement for the once popular Mercuric Oxide MR52 (or PX640) cell that was commonly used in cameras (such as Yashica TL-Electro, Electro 35 FC, Lynx 14-E and Lynx 5000E). The MR52 (or PX640) was also used in early Hakko rifle scopes. Mercury cells are now banned because of toxicity and environmental fears.
